Heavy Reference to the wide’s of LOTR
Heavy references to composition held in the Lord of the Rings. I wanted to make dreamlike visions of this girls imagination. Mixing the idea of using long lens’s with major depth of field to play off the idea of miniatures or toys almost. For composition, every single show was taken in account with the golden rule. Clouds… Lots and lots of clouds and atmosphere. Volumetric lighting was the key ingredient that I believe really pulled of this incredible look. It was winter so I could just turn off the heat and let my computer run renders to keep me warm.
If anyone ever tells you you can’t purposely over expose an image to drive the story, they are a terrible cinematographer. I will stand on that rock for the rest of my life.
